4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Golden Monkey

Day 1:Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on your Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari as you head North of Kigali city to Kinigi at the foot of Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy the spectacular views  and the amazing scenery of the Virunga Mountains en route as you head out to Ruhengeri. Check into the lodge and rendezvous at the lodge as you prepare for next days amazing activities Rwanda gorilla Trekking and viewing the attractive Golden monkey in their natural setting and later enjoy dinner surrounded by the evergreen tropical forest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

With an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for gorilla briefing.Your Gorilla Trekking Safari begins when you start venturing into this gigantic forest. With a packed lunch, comfortable clothes, shoes and a walking stick you will set of for the day and encounter the gorillas. The time spent gorilla tracking is unpredictable and it varies from 2-8 hours before an encounter with the family of these gentle creatures. The location of each gorilla family depends on temperature, their feeding range and movement of the previous day.

Enjoy an hour with these majestic creatures as you watch and capture this memorable experience while they go about their day to day activities, and the young ones playing around the old ones, feeding each other and eating foliage. Later retire for an overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on the Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari, you will be driven to the Headquarters of Volcanoes National Park and there you will be allocated groups and a guide  and you will be led through the jungle as you search for the beautiful creatures. Enjoy the beauty of these fragile creatures that illuminate the park with their lovely golden fur.

The monkeys can easily be encountered as they live at the bottom of the Volcano Mountains with in the bamboo forest, and by following the traces of fresh leftovers from the bamboo shoots eaten, the trackers are then able to locate them with in less than an hour. These monkeys spend most of their time at the top of the bamboo and also climb trees.

Later visit the grave site of the famous primatologist Dian Fossey, a brave lady who protected and saved a lot of these gentle creatures from inhuman savages and later retire to the lodge for an overnight as you reflect on the day’s encounters to your amusement and delight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali City

Early in the morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Kigali where you will enjoy a Kigali city tour including the National Museum and Genocide memorial center that tales of the happenings of the massive deaths in April 1994, the time you spend on your city tour depends on your outbound flight. Later  connect for your flight back home.
